Pesce Lab Sales is the original participant, in conjunction with Chairman Norm Henry (click here for biography) and the ASTM Committee F23 on Protective Clothing, in developing the permeation test cell now used in ASTM Method F739, F-1383, and EN374. The current cell design took approximately 3 years to perfect.

This permeation test cell is used worldwide to determine the permeation of hazardous chemicals through protective clothing. A smaller 1" cell that gives comparable results to the original, larger 2" cell is available. The smaller cell allows for use of smaller volumes of test chemical and is more convenient for testing small swatches of material.

The Certified Neoprene Standard Reference Material is exclusively available from Pesce Lab Sales. The Neoprene is supplied in 1ft.² sheets and comes with a certificate from Norm Henry indicating that it has been tested. This product is helpful for beginners in permeation testing who want to compare breakthrough times and permeation rates. Current users will find it helpful for quality control and training purposes.
